Mario Fantini

MY STORY

I am the proud son of immigrants. My mother came to this country from Guyana and my father emigrated from Italy. They worked hard, played by the rules, and became proud American citizens. But today they live in fear — they look at the news and worry about ICE and the policies of the Trump administration that threaten to tear apart families just like theirs.

I grew up in Queens learning the value of community and hard work. After college I moved to Clifton Park, where I built a career as an engineer supporting the world’s greatest Navy. I knew it was time to step up for the families and communities I care about.

That drive led me to run for office. Today I serve as Councilman on the Clifton Park Town Board, fighting every day so the voices of working families are heard. I’m not just a public servant — I’m a working parent. My wife and I have two young children (a son in elementary school and a daughter in preschool). I know the real struggles of balancing career and family, and I understand the needs of families across this district because I live them every day.

My Record as Clifton Park Councilman

WHY I’M RUNNING

Hi, my name is Mario Fantini. I’m a Clifton Park council member, and I’m running for New York State Assembly in District 112. In two elections I helped flip Clifton Park from solid red to blue — I’ve beaten three Republicans. As councilman I’ve already fought for the environment and open space, transparency, equality in the workplace, and protecting our farms.

I am the son of immigrants. My mom is from Guyana and my dad is from Italy. They worked hard for the American Dream. With an unhinged wanna-be king in the White House, fear is being brought to every immigrant family. My parents worry they’ll have to carry their passports everywhere they go. This is unacceptable, and every Republican politician including Mary Beth Walsh shares the blame as long as they support this.

I am here for:

  • Immigrants — I will fight to pass NY for All so our state and local police stop doing ICE’s job.
  • The poor and the needy — to expand Healthcare, Child Care, and Housing we all need.
  • The environment — to take real action on Climate Change and build a Clean Energy economy.
  • Equality — because everyone deserves to be treated fairly.
  • Our farmers — to protect our food source.

On every issue I reject money from wealthy special interests and will listen to you and your neighbors. We need your help to flip this seat and join the biggest Blue Wave yet. I’m participating in NY’s Public Financing program, so every small donation gets multiplied:
Your contribution of $5 will bring our campaign $60 in matching funds.
Your contribution of $50 will bring $600 in matching funds.
Your contribution of $100 will bring $1,050 in matching funds.
Your contribution of $250 will bring $2,300 in matching funds.

I am confident we will win, and together — right here in the towns of District 112 — we will fight for the people!
